Yosemite Housekeeping Camp Wedding | Yosemite Photographer | Christine Dibble Photography
Justyne and Kevin first met in Yosemite at the Housekeeping Camp nine years ago. They hit it off, and they both happened to be from the same town, so the relationship grew. Each year, they returned to Yosemite on the same weekend in May to camp and hike the Mist Trail to Vernal Falls. Last year, on their annual trip, Kevin proposed on the trail with his mother’s ring. So it only made sense to have the wedding on that weekend in Yosemite. (And if they look familiar, it is because they were the couple in this Black Oak Casino Hotel shoot seen here.) Justyne got ready at the brand new Rush Creek Lodge. Then we drove to the Valley and had a first look with Kevin before the romantic hand-fasting ceremony on Cathedral Beach. The reception took place in the Housekeeping Camp. Every single detail was amazing…even more so that it was all hauled to a camping trip! The newlyweds dined among the trees on the bank of the river, ate a real cheese cake made from cheese wheels, and danced on the forest floor. The next day, we hiked in full wedding attire up to the base of Vernal Falls for more photos there. Justyne is a real life princess (see her magical Elsa shoot here!) and she even had squirrels coming up to her like Snow White! The whole wedding weekend was straight out of a fairy tale!
