I photographed this Summerville wrestler at Knights Ferry long before this cold, rainy weather hit, but I am just getting around to blogging the session! Devin is a multi-sport athlete at Summerville High School, and he also enjoys hobbies like wake boarding. So we incorporated all of those activities into his senior portrait session. On that hot day, wading into that cool river felt great! Fast forward to right now, and we are in the thick of his wrestling season. He was just crowned Mother Lode League Champion in the 145 lb weight class, his third championship in his career. This coming weekend he will take aim at a section title with hopes of moving on to masters after that and then state. Off the mats and the athletic fields, Devin plans to become an orthopedic surgeon. I have no doubt that the same drive that takes him to the medal podium in wrestling will take him all the way to the blunt end of a scalpel a few years from now!
