Sonora Engagement Photographer | Indigeny Engagement | Christine Dibble Photography
When I met Jen and Kevin to discuss photographing their upcoming wedding at the Black Oak Casino Resort in Tuolumne, everyone was happy and healthy. We set up a date for the Indigeny engagement shoot. And then somewhere in between, Kevin broke his foot. While it is more common these days to see broken bones placed in velcro casts, Kevin was the one rare case that actually needed the old fiberglass cast and no weight on it. But he did not want to postpone their session. He proved his love for Jen in a big way that day as he moved all over the property at Indigeny on crutches. It was partly cloudy, and I tried to use that cover to use spots that were not ideal at that time in full sun but were close and easily accessible to someone on crutches. And then we would get set up, ready to start snapping away, and the clouds would move. So Kevin covered a lot of miles on his arms. And he sat on the ground and stood up, and posed on one leg, and he went up little hills and over rough ground…all for the girl he loves. I am now even more excited to get to work with them on their wedding day because both of them should be fully mobile! But if Murphy’s Law does strike now that I have said that, at least I know they will just grit their teeth and smile through it for the sake of portraits!
Corey - Beautiful couple – and engagement session! I love that he went through with it even with a broken foot. You did a great job concealing his cast but I love that you included the crutches too!
Ashley S - Aw, this guy is going to make a sweet groom (and husband!) What a good sport to cover to much ground. Don’t you just hate when the sun comes and goes like that?!
Jenny Storment - Now that is love still doing their engagement session even with a broken foot! I love this backdrop of Indigeny for Jen & Kevin’s engagement session.
Dawn - This Sonora engagement session is so lovely and filled with emotion. I loved when they changed their outfits to show their support for their favorite football team- The Giants!
Esther - I always look forward to seeing the beautiful backdrops for your sessions in Sonora – you have access to so many gorgeous spots, and this one is so perfect for this engagement photograph session. I especially like the last one with the beautiful, golden hour light.
Samantha - What a beautiful engagement session in the Indigeny forest! Truly I love the matte finish on every image and how much so the subject pops. So beautiful and your couple looks so absolutely happy!
Kathy - Hobbling around on crutches for your engagement session, now that is love! This is an absolutely gorgeous engagement session at Indigeny. You always blow me away with your photos. They are stunning!
