Sonora Graduation Photographer | On to High School | Christine Dibble Photography
This was a big end of the school year for us because we had a graduation to celebrate. Brennen is moving from eighth grade to high school. Most kids get a bit nervous about that jump, but Brennen will be joining his older brother and his dad on campus, so it will really not be a new place to him. Curtis Creek School has the eighth grade graduates wear gowns. The kids do dress up for the dance they attend after the ceremony, but Brennen didn’t want to wear anything but Wranglers, cowboy boots, and his cowboy hat. I figured it was pointless to spend money on something he would never wear again, so we picked out some brand new jeans and a shirt he wanted. I told him he had to wear a tie, and he chose a bow tie! But I think he looked pretty handsome with the blues bringing out those blue eyes! He was pretty laid back about the whole thing, but I think he secretly relished all the attention. He even had ideas about what he wanted for portraits. We wandered around the campus he will be leaving before the ceremony to capture those, and it was a great setting. I know it will feel like tomorrow that I am taking his senior portraits!
