This wedding photographer was kept hopping this summer, both in and out of Sonora. Sara and Joe’s wedding started off a run of weddings several weekends in a row for me. And what a beautiful way to start! The ceremony and reception were held in the yard of Sara’s dad’s home, and it was such an incredible location. The inside of the house is full of amazing art, and the outside was lush, green, and shaded. The details were so well planned. Sara was a librarian and she now works in a book store, so books played a big part in the decorations. And the cheerful sunflower bouquets and centerpieces were provided by Columbia Nursery. Sara wore a sash and a birdcage veil from Hopefully Romantic. Sara and Joe elected to have a first look that day, and it really gave them a chance to spend their whole wedding day together. They had plenty of time to relax and enjoy the day before the ceremony. Once that was over, the party began. The Standard Pour catered the meal, and the food was amazing. Guests dined in the backyard under a canopy of twinkle lights and toasted the couple as the sun set. There were lots of tears and even more laughter. But they could not have asked for a more perfect down-home wedding!
