Back in early December, I had my annual Christmas Mini Sessions scheduled at Twain Harte Tree Farm. It had already been a fairly dry fall, but Murphy’s Law hit, and it snowed just in time for the mini sessions. Tuolumne County is used to snow, and things usually don’t get too crazy just because it snows, but this was pretty crazy. Snow fell all the way down to the valley, and then frigid temperatures froze everything solid. I was still seeing snow piles up to 6 weeks later in my own neighborhood where snow usually melts away within a day or two. We had to move all mini sessions to other locations because the Tree Farm was buried, and we rescheduled a few mini sessions for other dates, but it all worked out. The snow made for a stunning backdrop and something really different and fun for photos. It kind of makes me want to have some snow sessions every year! Here are just a few samples from a couple of those sessions.
