Sonora, CA Wedding and Engagement Photographer | Mandy and Ian | Christine Dibble Photography
It was pouring the day of Mandy and Ian’s engagement session, but that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. I had met and worked with Mandy before. She is very sweet and talkative, and our conversations often turned to her fiance Ian. So I was excited to finally meet Ian when we met up at Indigeny Reserve. And it was really fun to watch Mandy with him. She absolutely lights up and glows around him! They just get each other, for lack of a better description. Both of them have a quirky sense of humor, and Ian kapt us laughing hard the whole time. Ian was a bit worried that he was awkward, and he kept saying he had never had a photo session before. He would crack jokes and then suddenly look at Mandy in the most tender, loving way and I would feel like I was intruding on a very sweet moment. Then he would suddenly swing her into a dance and be silly again. They obviously have so much fun together. There was a minor moment of panic when Mandy realized she had thrown her engagement ring with a handful of leaves, but we found it quickly, and the laughter just carried on. I think I need to strengthen my laughing muscles because I am sure their wedding will be full of antics too!
