I have always loved babies, but it was still kind of nice when my three kids outgrew the diaper and get-into-everything stages. So being a newborn photographer means I get to play with the tiny, squishy babies, get beautiful photos to commemorate that brand new stage, and then send them home to be changed and watched at all hours of the night. I do still have to deal with messes, because they do soil just about everything they touch, but after a quick washing, all is clean until the next baby arrives. This little lady came for her first photo session when she was twelve days new, and she was a champ! She was so happy to be placed in any bucket and even in Dad’s ski helmet (which was fully supported at all times by hands that were later removed from the image). And she left me with less laundry than any other baby ever has!
