Sonora, CA Family Photographer | Freezing Fall Family Portraits | Christine Dibble Photography

Fall in Sonora seemed to be pretty dry and mild…at least until this family scheduled their family portrait session. We discussed whether to go ahead with the session or postpone because rain was in the forecast, but we gambled on a break in the weather, and we got it. At least we got sun and no raindrops. Warmth was nowhere to be found outside! Mom and daughter had the most adorable dresses, and it was so freezing cold outside that even the boys in their warmer clothes were ready to go inside by the warm fire. We braved the temperatures for a few outdoor shots and then moved inside to thaw out and shift gears into a lifestyle family session. The kids played with dad and performed some great balance tricks, and everyone was toasty warm.
