One of the best things about being a family photographer is getting to watch families grow. Last year, this family had two kids, and one was so shy that I was warned to just ignore him completely to avoid a total breakdown. This year, there is a new little member to photograph, and big brother has so outgrown that shyness that he smiled and giggled and actually allowed me to lift him up to a spot to pose. Looking at these, you would never know that most of them were sick on session day. We waited until the last minute to see if fevers were going to force a cancellation, but a well-timed dose of Tylenol kept that in check and they were all smiles!
