We spent last weekend camping for our annual Cub-O-Ree. The weather was nice, but I did make Tom take the trailer since he is still on crutches. He was in charge of it all, and he hobbled around directing things as always. At night he was glad to have a real bed to put that swollen knee on. The boys rotated through event stations. They jousted from a cubmobile, crossed a rope bridge, ran an obstacle course, played kickball, “Capture the Maiden” (it was a Knight theme), knight training, archery and BB guns. Sawyer didn’t understand that the frisbees at frisbee golf were not for him! There were giant frogs and lots of footballs for the kids to catch. Colby attended as a Boy Scout with his troop to help out. In the evening, the Boy Scouts led a flag retirement ceremony after the skits were done. All of us went home exhausted and dirty!
