Today, for the last day before Christmas Vacation, Colby’s class had an old fashioned Beggar’s Ball. The two fifth grade classes dressed in garb right out of a story by Charles Dickens, and they demonstrated traditional dances and then feasted at a Victorian tea party. They all got into their parts–led by their teacher and her husband who appeared to be straight out of the 1850s.
