We are in the busy part of the holiday season! Colby was part of Merry Merchants in Columbia. He was a news boy, and he walked the streets yelling, “Christmas news! Four Bits!” over and over. His buddy was a shoe shine boy. Together they stomped out a fire started by a hoop skirt that got too close to a luminary bag. We ate chestnuts roasted on an open fire. And taking photos in the dark with no tripod and a VERY slow shutter was a challenge! The next day we went ice skating and Christmas caroling at the long-term care facility with Cub Scouts. Even Sawyer tagged along, and the residents absolutely loved him. We walked him into the saloon in Columbia too, and he curled up on the floor while we had sasparilla. He is so good, no one even noticed him!
