Sonora Wedding Photographer | Tuolumne County Museum Wedding | Christine Dibble Photography

There was a big rainstorm predicted for the day of Kathleen and Brett’s wedding at the Tuolumne County Museum courtyard. They were determined to stick with the plan to be married outside, no matter the weather. Guests were instructed to bring black umbrellas and be ready to stick it out for 20 minutes. It had been raining for much of the morning, and when I arrived just before the ceremony time, it was starting to rain again. Horrible, ominous-looking clouds were moving right towards us. But the power of love must have pushed back hard enough to hold them off because the rain stopped. It was very dark and gloomy, but there were no raindrops. We managed to get through the ceremony and group portraits and a couple of bride and groom portraits before the rain started again. Then it was off to Emberz for a reception and champagne toast. Kathleen and Brett got the best of both worlds on their wedding day, dry weather for the ceremony but still some rain for good luck!
