Sonora Newborn Photography | Miss B | Christine Dibble Photography
Newborn photography is absolutely unpredictable. Those tiny little babies are supposed to be very tired from all their eating and pooping and growing, so they are supposed to sleep for those peaceful posed newborn portraits. But Sonora seems to get all those very smart babies, the ones who want to learn all they can from the start so they can jump right into mischief when their bodies are finally able to do what they want them to. As a photographer, that means I have to be able to go with the flow. I have to be patient enough to wait for hours for the baby to fall asleep, or I have to be able to get great images of an awake, flailing newborn. This baby girl was definitely more along the lines of awake and flailing for her session. She has an older brother she needs to keep up with (seen here in this maternity session when she was still a belly bump!) so she needs to be learning and planning now. But she did settle a couple of times, not for long, but long enough to grab a few of those posed images. And her dreams must have been lots of fun because she was all smiles too!
