Wedding Photography in Sonora | Mother Lode Ranch Wedding | Christine Dibble Photography

Spring wedding photography in Sonora can be full of interesting challenges; especially with the weather. When Allie and Curtis got married on a weekend in late May, it happened to be one of the only times it chose to rain in the last year. Thankfully, the rain only fell during the reception when everyone was tucked inside the long barn, dancing. We never even heard the thunder! The ceremony took place outside on the lawn behind the house at Mother Lode Ranch earlier in the day. After portraits on the property, everyone moved inside the barn to eat down home country cooking from Sally’s Catering and dance to music provided by Sound Extreme. It was not until guests started to leave that anyone realized it had poured. But rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck, so rain in the worst drought ever has to be even better!
