Sonora Family Photographer | Aspen Meadows Pack Station | Christine Dibble Photography

This past fall, I went up to Aspen Meadows Pack Station for a combination family photography session and lifestyle session. The Bloom family has owned and run the pack station for years, and they are western to the core. Their kids have grown up living there for half the year, during pack season, and horses are a way of life. It was fun to capture them in their element. There is never a shortage of work to be done whether it is mucking the feeding area, saddling rows of horses, and checking equipment, or, as they did that day, reporting newly discovered forest fires and sending out a rescue party to pick up a hiker with a broken leg. (And there may or may not have been some first aid administered when a certain young cowboy was stung on the eye by a yellow jacket as he got into position for a family photo!) But I am not sure the Blooms consider any of this work because they truly love what they do! A young cowboy sits on the fence at Aspen Meadows Pack Station while Christine Dibble Photography photographs his family doing chores and daily business with the horses.
