Sonora, CA Child Photographer | Sweet Girl in a Flower Field | Christine Dibble Photography

One of my favorite things about being a child photographer is getting those truly honest expressions that children give. Sonora has some beautiful scenery year round, but these photos were taken in a field at Lake Tahoe last summer. The little model is my sweet niece, and she was just about a year and a half old here. I have a collection of baby dresses that were worn by my 92 year old grandfather and his sisters, and I knew my niece would be the perfect one to wear one of these heirlooms in the perfect field of flowers I had used before. And she didn’t disappoint me! Those beautiful blond curls and big blue eyes, and that pouty I’m-a-toddler-but-I-will-take-on-the-world attitude gave me the honesty I was looking for in these summer portraits.
