Miniature Marilyn Monroe!

Really!  She looks just like a mini Marilyn.  After getting a new “fur” coat from her awesome Auntie for Christmas, she had to model it and play the part.  I love taking pictures of this little lady, and it may or may not have to do with the fact that she runs to me, arms reaching up for me to pick her up.  But that may only be because I spoiled her by getting her out of her car seat before mom was ready to do it!  Whatever the reason, she loves to look at the camera and play up for me.

For this session, mom brought Grandma’s jewelry.  I think it became more of a chew toy than decoration, but she is young yet.  It won’t be long before she really appreciates diamonds!  I love having her in front of my lens frequently, not only because she is fun to play with, but because I get to record each of the steps and milestones in her life to help her have a record of who she is right now.  These times go by so fast, and babies and toddlers change so much in such a short time.  The things you think you will remember forever are forgotten sooner than you imagine.  Beautiful photos that are actually printed can preserve the tiny baby curls, the expressions that cross those chubby cheeks, and that pure toddler joy.  This sweet girl will have loads of memories to share with her own children one day.  And that is why I really love my job!
