We had a monster snow storm. At first there was a lot of excitement for the snow day that closed all the schools. But when the power went out Thursday night–and stayed out until Tuesday evening!!!–the excitement waned. Trees were down everywhere. We were trapped in a 1/4 mile section with trees down on both sides. One cleared just in time for Colby to go camping at a much higher elevation with Boy Scouts. Eventually we had to clear out our refrigerator and use the snow outside for a cooler. At least my refrigerator is clean now! We begged showers and some laundry off a friend. Our entertainment was watching the PG&E repairs and games by lantern light at night. And with another storm due in a couple of days with lower snow, we will get to do it all over again!
