Colby and I and the Kelley family went to an 1850’s dance/anniversary party for his former teacher and her husband. Everyone was in period costume, and there was a caller and a live “band.” We walked through the dances before starting, but there was still a lot of confusion and laughter as dancers ended up anywhere but where they were supposed to. We followed that up this morning with Scout Sunday at the church that sponsors Colby’s Boy Scout Troop. And Tom got extra points for actually kneeling on that torn-up knee of his!
